DDR DJ 1975 Discomobil - Drushba-Trasse Ukraine

January 04, 2014 - cgb

Peter 'Sleazy' Christopherson dies at 55

November 25, 2010 - cgb

Peter 'Sleazy' Christopherson, (27 February 1955 – 24 November 2010), founding member of the seminal outfit Throbbing Gristle died in his sleep at his home in Bangkok.

Needless to point out his contribution to the truly pioneering TG and other groups like Coil and Psychic TV. It may be little known that he was one of the three partners of the album cover design group Hipgnosis, which was responsible for many notable album covers of the 1970s.

The last months also saw the untimely deaths of Gregory Isaacs and Sugar Minott, both mainly known as outstanding singers, but being just as important as producers, sound system operators and for their grassroots social function.

Sub-bass is a term used to describe audible sounds below 90 Hz and extending downward to include the lowest frequency humans can hear, typically 20 Hz. Sound systems often feature one or more subwoofer loudspeakers that are dedicated solely to amplifying sounds in the sub-bass range.
20 Hz is considered the normal low frequency limit of human hearing. When pure sine waves are reproduced under ideal conditions and at very high volume, a human listener will be able to identify tones as low as 12 Hz.
Sub-bass energy is popular in dance music and dub reggae, where the low frequencies involve energy from the kick drum, the bass guitar and electronic synthesizers. Other genres such as dubstep or drum and bass often feature the whole bass-line reproduced in sub-bass frequencies.

As I learned from well informed yet undisclosed sources all tunes played that night contain sounds of sirens or siren-like sounds!
An opportunity not to be missed!

This is also a convenient opportunity to post pictures of sirens:
